Personal Philosophy

One of my favorite comedians is Richard Jeni. I was just listening to one of his standup routines and he ended it with some good philosophy. I would like to quote him and present this same philosophy with regards to my feelings about this website. Here it is:

Whenever you speak in public there is the outside danger that someone will listen to you. So, don’t forget, my opinions are just like anybody else’s. They’re all a self-serving, big steaming pile of me. Just scratch any opinion and underneath it you’ll find a human being trying to justify their own existence. And that doesn’t mean you’re a bad person. It just means you’re a person! Because justifying yourself helps you to value yourself and that leads to preserving yourself. And self-preservation is the primary instinct of every human being. -Richard Jeni, A Big Steaming Pile of Me
