Trick-or-Treating

This was a Halloween party we held at our home.Adorned in their costumes are some of my English students.As Halloween is not typically celebrated in Taiwan, we had to set it up.We gave some of our neighbors candy to give to the students.They got their first experience of Halloween, American style!Teacher David Burrus helped us take care of the students.Free candy!

I nicknamed him Jin Bi Tzu, which is Golden Nose in Chinese.He had little flecks of gold color on the tip of his nose.From the start, Billy had a zest for life!

Double Ten Track and Field Event

This was a Taichung Stake church track and field event.It was held on Double 10 Day, Taiwan's Independence Day.Here are a couple of Shalu branch members.Here is President Li and his son Kevin, with Jien Mei.A running event.Basketball is Taiwan's number 1 sport.Here are a few of the area members enjoying the game of basketball.Jien Mei, Sister Hwang, and Serena Stringham ran in a sock race.I'm more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it.
